Bacon

Baconやで、ハムちゃうで。エリザベス見たからゆうわけやないけど“Francis Bacon of the Elizabethan age is the great forerunner of the spirit of modern life.”で、Vicoにいってもええねんけど、そやったら反時代気どりの自意識過剰みたいになってまうからKnowledge is Power、これ選ぶんは趣味がいい（科学に意味を見出すポジティヴさがあるから）。感心したでホンマに。この時代は近代の幕開け。冒険と産業と科学とProtestantismの個人主義がお互い影響しあって政治・宗教・道徳、全部激変。
でも問題はBaconの読まれかた。“The great French thinkers of the later eighteenth century borrowed this idea from Bacon and developed it into the doctrine of the infinite perfectibility of mankind on earth.”しかも“the Idealism based on the metaphysics of classic antiquity”が残ってたせいで哲学の可能性は十分には発展させられなかった。残念。切腹？
